So where did beer come from? Well, it seems it was the Sumerians who brewed the first brew over 4000 years ago. Archaeologist discovered not only tablets showing the Sumerians enjoying beer but also a poem that contained the oldest known recipe for making beer. In fact, the Sumerians even worshipped Ninkasi who just happened to be the goddess of brewing.
