Did you know when Washington left the oval office, he didn’t just sit around, he started a distillery. In 1797 he opened his distillery and began making Whiskey. By 1799 His distillery was producing 11,000 gallons of whiskey making it the largest in the UNITED STATES. The Distillery was in operation until 1814 when it was destroyed in a fire. However, in 2007 the distillery was reconstructed after archaeologists found its original location. You can visit it today and get buy some of Washingtons Whiskey.
